P.volve Transformations — Galentine's Edition: Steph & Bryce
At P.volve, we love hearing about clients’ progress and seeing how they’re crushing our workouts. These ladies, near and far, are giving the P.volve community some major inspo through their incredible before and after transformations.
This week's post just so happens to fortuitously coincide with Galentine's Day, and what better way to honor the holiday than with a pair of gals crushing the 90 Day challenge together! Meet Steph (left) and Bryce (right), the former roommates but forever friends who are supporting each other in their life and fitness goals despite the distance.
Where are you from?
Steph: I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, went to UNC Chapel Hill for undergrad and grad school, and now I'm living in Charlotte, NC working as an accountant.
Bryce: I am originally from New York, now a graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill, with plans to move to NYC after graduation.
How long have you been friends?
We’ve only known each other for 2 years. We were set up as random roommates for grad school, and we've been best friends ever since!
Steph: I found out about P.volve from Bryce. She raved about it for months until I decided to give it a try!
Bryce: I actually used to go to classes with P back when I was in college, when the studio was “Bodies by P.” I was so excited when he launched streaming since I’ve been able to return to the workout I found most effective.
Steph: I started P.volve, and I haven't been able to stop. I tell all of my friends about it. I was a college cheerleader, so I've tried every workout regimen in the book, but this is the first workout I've literally craved!
We have always loved working out together. We literally went to a cycle class the first time we met. When we lived together, we were consistently waking up before sunrise to head to a spin, barre, or pilates class. Now that we live in different cities, P.volve is a way we can stay connected, chat over workouts, and send each other tips while also keeping each other accountable. We are always snap chatting our P.sits/reaches/catches/leg lifts and making sure we have a peach on the calendar at the end of the day.
How do you incorporate P.volve into your daily life?
Steph: I'm currently training for the Chicago marathon, and I love to do P.volve after my runs. I incorporate low intensity P.volve workouts on my run days and save the more challenging P.volve workouts for my strength training days. Being able to do P.volve whenever, wherever makes it super easy to keep up with my training schedule while working 60+ hours a week.
Bryce: I am currently pursuing my masters in Occupational Therapy and also running an Instagram business (@merakibybk). Most of my week is spent reading for class, shifts at the hospital, or endless hours spent painting in my studio. Being able to complete a full body low impact workout in the amount of time it would take me to find my sticky socks has allowed me to easily integrate fitness into my daily routine. There is no excuse not to sweat and stretch out my body, and I am able to complete P.volve while paint is drying, as a study break or to complete my day.
What's your favorite P.volve workout or program?
Steph: I really enjoyed the 2-Week Beginner Series. Spending 8 days learning the basics made it much easier to jump into harder, more intense workouts.
Bryce: I love the 3 Day Body Burn, it’s a good way for me to check in with my body and feel the progress I’m making in my form and strength.
Steph: I love a good leg lift.
Bryce: Same, nothing like a good leg lift.
Steph: The P.ball for sure. My inner thighs have never burned so much.
Bryce: I’m sooo into the slant board, it instantly gets everything firing from head to toe. I actually convinced Steph to order one the other day. :)
We’ve always supported each other’s accomplishments, whether it’s a new business venture, getting a job, or simply sticking to a weekly cleanse. We’re not competitive, but we combine the strengths we have to motivate each other. We are always giving each other recommendations of the latest health or fitness routines we're trying. Steph is really knowledgeable in finance and brings her former college cheerleading experience to the table, and Bryce has a degree in kinesiology and is interested in health and wellness. We learn so much from each other.
Steph: My favorite thing about Bryce is that she has the power to inspire any one and every one. From encouraging others to tap into their creative potential to motivating them to make their well-being a priority, she makes a difference in every life she touches.
Sadly no. We are both super busy being boss girls, but we are currently planning a west coast road trip or Alaskan adventure and you bet we are going to be bring our P.volve with us. :)
