Try This Smoothie Recipe to Manage Cravings

It could be an early-morning slump, a midday crash or a late-night hankering. No matter how you look at it, it’s a craving that’s probably not going anywhere anytime soon. 

The right way to feed that craving is with wholesome, nourishing ingredients that will keep you satisfied for hours afterwards. This smoothie, created by Integrative Health Coach Alexia, is filled with essential micronutrients, antioxidants, healthy fats and protein to fill you up and keep you energized. Even better, Alexia made sure to pack the smoothie with fibrous ingredients like cauliflower, seeds and psyllium to stabilize blood sugar levels and keep sugar cravings at bay.  

Use this smoothie as a hearty breakfast paired with a hardboiled egg or avocado toast, or as a refuel drink in between meals throughout the day! 

Blood Sugar Balancing Berry Smoothie 

Ingredients: 

1 cup mixed frozen berries  

1 cup frozen cauliflower 

1 handful spinach 

½-1 cup nut milk of choice, depending on desired consistency 

2 scoops collagen peptides  

1 tbsp nut butter  

1 rounded tsp Maca powder  

1 tbsp ground flaxseed 

1 tbsp chia seeds 

1 tbsp psyllium husk powder 

1 pitted Medjool date, optional 

Instructions: 

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mix.  
  2. Add water for thinner consistency if desired.
